A different Kind of Nut

There are poets who write in prose
But I am simply a rhyming nut.
A glance at my writing and anyone knows
That my mind is in a rhyming rut.

To me, a poem is a poem, only when it rhymes,
My mind wont accept it any other way.
I’ve even dreamed in rhyme many times,
So you can see my mind is in rhyme array.

Please forgive me for being in this rut,
That my mind can’t think in free verse or prose.
My problem seems to be very clear-cut;
I’m just a different kind of nut, as ev’ryone knows.
